Ms. Beverly’s Memories

While away on vacation, I traveled to Minneapolis, MN to attend the Minnesota Steppers All Star Bash hosted by, J. MOST. I had an extraordinary time with him, and The COMMAND STEPPERS of Minnesota. I got the chance to learn so much more about the culture and lifestyle of Chicago Steppers.

On Friday evening, I attended J. MOST new album release party. It really went off with a BANG! In attendance were songwriters, record producers and background vocalists as well as fans that have been following his music career since day one. This album release party was BIG BUSINESS! We dined, danced and watched J. MOST perform all his latest hits. "I had a BLAST!"

The following morning after being treated to breakfast, I was escorted to a wonderful Chicago-Style Steppin workshop taught by Ms. Candace Hinton of Flint, MI.

That evening J. MOST, along with a few other promoter's kicked-off the Minnesota Steppers All Star Bash, which is also known as the home of the "Y'all Can't Beat Us" Stepper's contest. At the end of the night, all I could say is "WOW"! I have never experienced anything like this before. This event had to have been sold-out. It was standing room only, with a second-floor Steppers Set dance party, which I never made it to because of all of the festivities happening on the main floor at the competition.

Seriously, the locals and out-of-town guests, spectators, pimps and heavy hitters really impressed me on how they all came together from around the country, and rallied around this event, and made it very successful.

Special thanks, to J. MOST, Dr. Wendy Johnson, Ms. Michelle and Ms. Alvena for their warmest hospitality. From the time, my flight landed at the MSP airport, up to the time I checked out of the host hotel. They made my stay very pleasant.
